Chief Seattle's Lesson

We performed our poem of the week for the Sea Star class and at the Principal's meeting:

Chief Seattle's Lesson

Seattle was a teacher
who taught us how to care
for all the living things on Earth,
fresh water and clean air.
"The Earth does not belong to us,"
Great Chief Seattle said.
"We sometimes think it does,
but we belong to Earth instead."

A Visit with an Iguana

One of our student's has a pet iguana named Leviathon, and she brought him in for our sound sharing!

He was beautiful and captivated all of our attention.

We learned a lot about iguanas.  For example:  they primarily eat vegetation, they use their tales for defense, they can run fast, and climb trees easily.

Terrific Kids ~ November

Our Terrific Kid theme for November is...

ENTHUSIASTIC: Eager to learn - open to new ideas - excited to share...

We had three students that were chosen to represent this trait.

November Work

One of our student's created a "nature tray" &
even brought in some bear fur to add to it!  Cool : )

The Sea Star class came to visit us and perform an autumn dance.

Our kiddos were captivated.  Next month we will return the favor and perform something for them...

Knuffle Bunny

Getting ready for the bus to take us on our Field Trip!

For some of the kids, this was their first bus ride.
They couldn't believe that we didn't have to
sit in boosters or wear seat belts!

Our destination, The Pantages Theater...

The show was AWESOME!
A special thank you goes out to our parent volunteers.
You made our experience that much easier and fun : )
